MyPort (The Company) recognises the importance of protecting the privacy of personally identifiable information collected in the delivery of the Service. This privacy policy confirms our commitment to meeting the requirements of the National Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 Cth ("the Act").

The collection of personal information is required when we provide Services to you. The type of information collected will depend upon your interaction with us, usage of our web sites and the Services that you use, have purchased or are provided with. When you provide the Company with personal information we will inform you of the primary and any secondary purposes of how the information will be used. We will only collect the minimum amount of personal information deemed necessary for the primary and any secondary purposes.

We may use marketing lists and publicly available sources of information to identify and contact potential clients. Use of this information will be in accordance with the Act.

Personal information collected by the Company will only be provided to third parties in accordance with this Privacy Policy and the Act. Except as specifically stated in this Privacy Policy, we will not sell, trade, rent or otherwise disclose your personally identifiable information to a company that is not associated with the Company. In accordance with the Act, we may be required to disclose personal information where we reasonably believe that it is necessary for the prevention, detection, investigation, prosecution or punishment of criminal offences by an enforcement body. When appropriate, your personally identifiable information will be destroyed or made unidentifiable when it is no longer required for the purposes for which it was collected.

The Company strives to ensure the security, integrity and privacy of personally identifiable information of our clients. We use a variety of physical and electronic security measures including restricting physical access to our offices and firewalls and secure databases to keep personal information secure from misuse, loss or unauthorised use or disclosure.

The Company will handle requests for access to personal information in accordance with the National Privacy Principles. If you wish to have a copy of any information, please put your request in writing. Upon verification of your identity, we will process your request and advise you how long your request will take to be fulfilled. In certain circumstances, as prescribed by the Act, we may not provide you with access to some or all of your information. We will advise you in writing if we are refusing to provide information to you and why it is being refused.

Other Information

Remember to close your browser when you have finished your user session. This is to ensure that others cannot access your personal information and correspondence if you share a computer with someone else or are using a public computer. You as an individual are responsible for the security of and access to your own computer. Whenever you voluntarily disclose personal information over the internet than this information can be collected and used by others. Ultimately, you are solely responsible for maintaining the secrecy of your username and passwords and any account information.

Privacy Act

To avoid doubt, nothing in this policy is intended to limit any obligations the Company may have as an organisation with respect to personal information as that term is used in this clause and in the Act.
